What exactly is cosplay?
Cosplay is a combination of the words costume and play. It means dressing up as a character from a movie, anime, game, series, or comic book. For many people, cosplay is more than just wearing a costume: it's a hobby where creativity, craftsmanship, and a shared passion come together.
There are no rules about who can cosplay which character. The most important thing is that you have fun.
Is cosplay an expensive hobby?
Not necessarily.

As you gain more experience, you can expand with:

Do I have to make my cosplay myself?
No.
There are roughly three ways to get a cosplay:

You really don't have to buy everything at once.

Your first cosplay doesn't have to be perfect.
